In November, Walter Baker and Paul Boucher of the Cutting Technologies Division (CTD)
of Komatsu America Industries spent a week at KIC in Japan for training on the
latest Komatsu Plasma machines. There they received training on the TFPV series
bevel cutting fine plasma machines, with the FANUC 310i CNC. These are 300 Amp (60kw)
machines with a bevel cutting torch.

Lengths of the Twister TFPV Bevel Cutting
and
Twister TFPL Series
machines can be extended in 1 meter increments
up to 30 meters (about 100 feet).
The TFPV machines are extended width so that the full 8 ft. width can be cut at the maximum bevel angle of 45 degrees.
Because of the extended width and extra weight of the bevel cutting torch mount, the beam is fortified and extra support is added to maintain cutting accuracy.
The standard Twister TFPL Series feature table widths of 8 or 10 feet, in 20 or 40 foot lengths, with either the 30 kW or 60 kW (300 Amp) Fine Plasma torch. For smaller tables, see the TFP3051 which has a 5 ft. x 10 ft. table
and the TFP3062 which has a 6 ft. x 12 ft. table. Both have the 30 kW (150 Amp) Twister Fine Plasma.
Specification is in metric units. Units in inches are approximate.
Technology in the TFP3051, TFPL Series, and TFPV Series is protected by US Patents, and other Patents Pending.
